NU KOIN amounted to Rp 1.8b

The NU Infaq Box Carnival, popularly known as Kirab Kotak Amal (KOIN) that was departed from Pesantren Annawawi Tanara, Serang, Banten on March 14, 2018 ended in Banyuwangi, East Java in the month of Ramadhan. Its traveling distance of 3529.3 kilometers collected funds amounted to Rp.1.823.904.850.

To end the entire carnival released by the NU supreme leader (Rais 'Aam) KH Ma'ruf Amin, a closing ceremony was held at Pesanten Manba'ul Falah, Singojuruh Banyuwangi, Friday (6/7). The closing ceremony was officially carried out by the chairman of NU H M Sulton Fathoni.

On that occasion, it was also held the Inauguration of NU Banyuwangi board members for the period 2018-2023, which was attended by Minister of Labor M. Hanif Dhakiri and East Java Governor H. Soekarwo and the ranks of NU East Java and NU Banyuwangi.

The NU KOIN coordinator, Nur Hasan said that its giant size of NU KOIN was 99 centimeters for each side (length, width and height). The giant box has encircled various districts / cities in Banten Province, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java.

The 2018 NU KOIN is a national progarm in the effort of socializing the so-called Gerakan NU Berzakat towards self-reliance. This is also in line with the appeal of Rais 'Aam KH Ma'ruf Amin regarding the Harakah An-Nahdliyah liz-Zakah.

In addition, the NU KOIN is also in accordance with the National Coordination Meeting of NU Care-LAZISNU 2018 in Sragen Central Java in welcoming the NU 100 Years in which one of the meeting results is the socialization NU KOIN movement.

The NU KOIN will be managed by the NU Care-LAZISNU in addressing such programs as education, health, economic empowerment, and disaster preparedness. Some regions such as Bojonegoro, Yogyakarta and Banyuwangi have already managed the NU KOIN for the needs of free medical care transportation and ambulances.
