Rifdah Farnidah is one of santri (students) of Al-Hikamussalafiyyah Islamic Boarding School (pesantren). She was born in Sumedang on 3 June 1995. Rifdah (22) has won three times in the National Quranic Recitation Competition / Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ).

She at least won the first place in the national events in West Kalimantan in 2012, in West Nusa Tenggara in 2016, and in West Kalimantan in 2017.

Rifdah was the first of four children. Her father Muhammad Kadris and her mother Ai Faridah living in Sukamantri village, Tanjungkerta Subdistrict, Sumedang, West Java have educated Rifdah to love the Qur'an since her childhood.

In her very young age, Rifdah who likes the purple color has been enrolled into Pesantren Al-Hikamussalafiyyah. No wonder when in her fisrt year in a senior high school, Rifdah was able to memorize 30 juz of the Qurán.

Currently Rifdah is in the 8th semester of the department of the Qur'anic science and tafsir at the Jakarta's Institute of Qur'anic Science (IIQ). During her study the IIQ, Rifdah has actively participated in various Qur'anic related-activities. This is in line with her motto "Fighting along the Qur'an and serving the Qur'an".

In addition to reading the Qur'an, Rifdah is very like to listen and read religious songs (nasyid) and sholawat.

Rifdah has now deepened Quranic interpretation (tafsir) as an effort to take part of participating in one of the MTQ classifications, namely Quranic interpretation (tafsir). (Ayi Abdul Kohar/Masdar)
