Hasyim Expects Indonesia's People to introspect more and more

General Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi expected all Indonesia’s people to have such self introspection related to the devastating earthquake hit regions in Indonesia.
He said that in the aftermath of the deadly tsunami that struck Indonesia’s Java island several day ago was God’s admonition upon collective mistakes of ours.
<>“Each of us should introspect, the constantly quake is an admonition of God upon our collective mistakes,” Hasyim told NU Online at PBNU Building, Jln Kramat Raya 164 Jakarta, Wednesday (19/7)
he argued that the collective mistakes consist of many things such as law enforcement, education, economy, and so forth. He took the law enforcement for instance that “The law should ensure justice, but we see nothing.”
Hasyim rejected that the devastating earthquake striking Indonesia to be related to the national leadership.
“I do not know if the entirely quakes related to that (national leadership). Otherwise, it’s our mistakes, not person to person,” he added. (rif)
