The National Education Ministry is holding a three-day workshop on upgrading the quality, credibility and accountability of the national exams.
Khairil Anwar Notodiputro, head of the ministry’s research and development division, said on Thursday that the ministry attempted to improve the quality of education through a higher quality and more trustworthy national exam.
“We hope the workshop will help formulate strategic methods to increase the quality of our national exam. A quality exam will be trustworthy and help improve the quality of education,” Khairil said as quoted by Antara news agency.
The workshop, which begins on Friday and ends on Sunday, will discuss the mechanism and roles of both primary and secondary educational institutions in adjudicating national exams.
Khairul said the committee would recommend the output of the workshop to the National Education Ministry as input for its policies. (jp/dar)
