Cianjur supports its Muslim residents to recite Quran

Cianjur regency, West Java, has encourages its Muslim residents to recite Quran, the Muslim's holy book. Quran recitation in Cianjur is part of program implemented in October 2014. <>
"This program aims to produce one hafidz (Quran memorizer, Ed), one person per village," Cianjur regent, Tjetjep Muchtar Soleh said recently.
The program complies with the Cianjur's vision to build noble attitudes based on Islamic values. The local government has allocated funds to support the program.
The funds will help hafidz of Quran to concentrate on memorizing the Holy book in 20 months. The program is expected to produce 360 hafidz who can memorize the whole Quran or at least one hafidz per village.
