Islam Nusantara proposed to be taught at all education levels

As part of preventing terrorism, the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum University (UNIPDU), Peterongan, Jombang, East Java, expected the so-called Islam Nusantara to be one of subjects taught at all levels of education. <>
"Preventive measures should be prioritized," said the President of BEM UNIPDU, Lutfi Riadi, during the inauguration of the Student Representative Council (DPM) and the BEM UNIPDU at the UNIPDU plaza on Monday (20/1).
Luthfi added the number of such destructive crimes became increasingly clear that there is a misunderstanding of some people in regard with the spread of Islam in the country.
Therefore, the application of typical-Indonesian Islamic material is urgent .
"The form can be in the subject matter to the students (at shools) or the subject of Islam Nusantara at the campus level," he explained.
While the rector of UNIPDU Prof Dr KH Ahmad Zahro who attended the inauguration called for the importance of having noble characters of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
