Pasar Senen's Traders to Worry about Senen City Renovation

Local traders operating in Pasar Senen Central Jakarta were worried about the plan of the local government to renovate it to be such department store next October.
Some of them were so concern with their fate as that experienced by Tanah Abang’s traders.
<>“Let us hope not we can no longer trade for high cost of the kiosks. That is an old story,” said Turmudzi, the clothes trader, to NU Online.
Senen City would purposefully be an integrated area consisting of Pasar Senen (Senen Market), terminal, and train station.
The renovation of the expected area will reportedly involve three regional owned enterprises, such as PD Pasar Jaya, PT Pembangunan Jaya, and PT Jakarta Realtindo, which merged with PT Patungan Jaya Grup. (nam)
