Pekalongan govt committed to managing NU clinics and hospitals

The Pekalongan district administration is committed to facilitating Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) related to the management of clinics or hospitals. In managerial aspects, the local government, in this case the Department of Health, has considerable experience in the management of hospitals and health centers.<>

What carried out by the Pekalongan's chapter of NU by establishing health clinics are a positive step to provide health services and this must be supported by the government.

Regent of Pekalongan H Amat Antono Clinic made the remarks while inaugurating the Pratama Mitra Bahagia clinic, owned by NU and located on Jl. Simbang Wetan, Buaran subdistrict, Pekalongan, on Tuesday (28/5).

Amat said the presence of Pratama Mitra Bahagia would add health care facilities having so far been present in Pekalongan district, adding that his administration would help NU manage its health centers, including clinics and hospitals.

"I have asked the Department of Health and Buaran subdistrict head to help NU lobby various parties, so that the NU clinic could operationally continue to provide health services," he said.

The regent also called on NU not to be selective in providing helth services to people regardless of their social, political and religious backgrounds.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Pekalongan's chapter of NU, KH Muslikh Khudlori said the presence of Pratama Mitra Bahagia was one of clinics owned by NU in Pekalongan.
