The leader of Dar Al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School (pesantren), Arjawinangun, Cirebon, KH Ahsin Sakho Muhammad (Kiai Ahsin) explained that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the best leader in all conditions; both at home and in the community.
"When the Prophet was at home, he became the best husband. The Prophet said, at best you are the best person in the family and I am the best person in the family," Kiai Ahsin said while speaking at the Digital Islamic Islamic Boarding School Majelis Telkomsel Taqwa (MTT), on Monday (10/25/2021).
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) became the best father for his son. Kiai Ahsin explained, one day Sayyidah Fatimah came to her father. Then the Prophet embraced and brought Sayyidah Fatimah to a seat that she could sit on.
"For the Javanese, it's not allowed (the child sits in the parent's chair). The Prophet actually sat Sayyidah Fatimah on the Prophet's seat which was made of sheepskin. The Prophet used to sit there, Sayyidah Fatimah was told to sit there. That's remarkable," Kiai Ahsin explained.
While in society, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also became the best leader. The Prophet could get along with anyone, from all circles. Kiai Ahsin said that the Prophet used to associate with widows, orphans, the poor and the rich, as well as Jews and Christians.
"If the Prophet met the prophets, he was sayyidul ambiya wal mursalin. Being a leader of the prophets and apostles. What was behind that greatness? The Prophet once said, Allah has educated me in the best way. If we see, the Prophet's life was full of with suffering," the chairman of Jam'iyyatul Qurra wal Huffazh (JQH) Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) said.
When Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was two months old in the womb of Sayyidah Aminah, his father Abdullah died when he returned from the land of Sham carrying merchandise. On that trip, Abdullah felt unwell.
"Then he was treated in Bani 'Adi, in Bani Najjar, for a month, he finally died. The Prophet when he was born, was breastfed by Tsuwaibah Al-Aslamiyah, Abu Lahab's slave. After that, he was breastfed by Halimatussa'diyah. Then he was handed over to his mother," Kiai Ahsin explained.
However, Halimah felt happy breastfeeding Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Because the Prophet brought blessings to the Halimah's life. One of them, all the goats that were kept beaome fat. Seeing the blessings, someone from the tribe of Ibn Sham made an announcement that the shepherds' goats were to be grazed with the Halimah's goats.
"After that, his mother died. He was cared for by Abdul Mutholib, his grandfather, he died too. The Prophet cried, he was eight years old (at that time). The person who served as his father's representative died," he said.
Kiai Ahsin emphasized, the pain of life is the way God did in educating Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) so that he would become a formidable and respected leader. Since childhood, even since he was still in the womb, the Prophet had lost both his parents.
"The prophet lived as an orphan, without father and mother. The people who were most loved by the Prophet died one by one. This is Allah wants Prophet Muhammad to only rely on Al-Khaliq, Allah, not on humans," the rector of the Qur'anic Science Institute (IIQ) 2006-2014 said.
