Ansor and police hold joint prayer ahead of Mataram election

Ansor along with Mataram Police Chief AKBP Muhammad held a joint prayer in the NU headquarters West Nusa Tenggara  on Tuesday (02/5), hoping the Mataram City could keep calm and secure in the face the 2018 Mataram election.

Chairman of Ansor Mataram Hasan Basri said, Ansor had investments and large capital especially in dealing with various social, religious, political, and other problems facing the nation.

"This (joint prayer) is our way of criticizing the government, because through mass action we has ever mobilized, it has never been responded," he said.

While Mataram City Police Chief AKBP Muhammad called on Ansor cadres and the youths present at the occasion to maintain the unity.

"Our task is to develop the common good of our fellow Muslims and other human beings. Never insult other people, moreover related to the election issue, especially in the Mataram election which draws to a close. Please live life peacefully, love each other," Muhammad said.

Chairman of Ansor West Nusa Tenggara H Zamroni Aziz said Ansor would always be ready in cooperation with the Police and TNI to maintain stability and security in the community.

"Whoever disturbs the country, they will deal with Ansor," he explained.

The meeting hosted by the secretary of Ansor Mataram Fadil Adli was attended by deputy chairman of lawmaking body (rais syuriyah) of NU NTB TGH Sahimun Faesal, Abdul Hamid Faesal, Chairman of NU Mataram Ustadz Fairuz Abadi, Suryadi, the representative of the Chinese Muslim Union (PSMTI) NTB, chairmen and chairwomen of IPNU-IPPNU NTB, PMII Mataram, and PMKRI NTB.
