Probolinggo Regent Hj. Puput Tantriana Sari said that as young men and women in this information technology era, NU students should be capable of keeping up with any development, especially in filtering information on the internet or social media.
She made the remarks before hundreds of NU students at a workshop held by the Nahdlatul Ulama Female Students Association (IPPNU) in Pondok Pesantren Hati, Toroyan, Rangkang, Kraksaan, Probolinggo, on Friday (3/3).
"Therefore, as a form of filtering the information, please be careful the correctness of the information you received," the Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of Muslimat NU Probolinggo said.
Tantri asked the NU students to constantly strive to equip themselves with the faith and knowledge in order to become future leaders littered fully with quality, character, and morality.
"In the future I expect IPPNU cadres to become the future agents in their respective regions that are able to change negative trends such as drugs, pornography and juvenile delinquency into the positive ones," she said.
Meanwhile, the chairwoman of IPPNU Puti Hasni said that the workshop was intended part of developing human resources, especially for the IPPNU board members.
"Hopefully in the future they could be reformulate and review whether the regeneration system in IPPNU is still relevant to current developments or not. If there are possible new changes of design and policies, all this should be in accordance with the corridor of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja)," she said. (Syamsul Akbar / Masdar)
