Presiden Jokowi visited Sinta Nuriyah residence

President Joko Widodo visited Sinta Nuriyah Abdurrahman Wahid, the wive of the forth Indonesian president, the late KH Abdurrahman ‘Gus Dur’ Wahid in Ciganjur area, south Jakarta, on Friday (9/7).

The president who was accompanied by The Minister of State Secretary Pratikno arrived around 4 pm. They welcomed by two daughters of Gus Dur, Alissa Wabid and Yenny Wahid. Then, they met with Sinta Nuriyah Abdurrahman Wahid. 

Jokowi admitted that it was not the first time he visited to Gus Dur’s residence. The visit also coincided with Gus Dur’s birthday. “I have not been visited here first or twice. If I am not mistaken, as I recall, it is the forth,” said Jokowi after meeting. 

In addition, the President also wanted to know the news of Sinta Nuriyah. Also want to know her the health condition. Alhamdulillah, she has been given a good health condition from Allah,” he said. At that time, the president ate red and white porridge served.

Not only that, at this occasion, the President met with figures from Madura ethnic. President said, they gave input related to expensive rate of Suramadu bridge.

“Previously, the cost was 30 thousands, then cut being 15 thousands. For motor cycle, it has been released, But the impact on investment and economic not visible so that the figures ask it to be reviewed again,” he said. 

Sinta Nuriyah welcomed well the guest. According to her, President Jokowi was a figure that love to keep in touch with public figures, ulemas, and others 

“including to here because I has been considered as parent that is worth to be visited. So I am as a parent, definetly must give a praying,” said Sinta Nuriyah.

She also gave messages regarding the mandate of a leader.He also said what he taught was practiced by Gus Dur.
